Consultation
Consultation is short-term work (usually 1-3 sessions) which aims to discuss a particular difficulty or problem solve a specific issue. Consultation is different to therapy, which is longer term. Consultation work is often suitable for those who are in supporting roles including parents or carers.

Consultation appointments are useful for parents, carers or people in support roles.

Consultation appointments tend to be most helpful to answer specific questions, or to problem solve. Examples of consultation work:
to think about whether you or your child might benefit from a neurodevelopmental (autism, ADHD or cognitive) assessment
to discuss a particular difficulty such as your child refusing to attend school, having problems with sleep or struggling with emotional regulation
to discuss a specific support need of a person you are in a caring role for, such as vulnerability or supporting their mental health
