Post-diagnostic Support

We can offer individualised support after assessment to help think about diagnosis in relation to your child and your family. Post-diagnostic support usually involves 1 or 2 sessions with a focus on what diagnosis means for your child and your family. Post-diagnostic support is individualised according to what would be most beneficial for your child and your family in your journey.

 

 Post-diagnostic FAQs

  • Post-dianostic support is individual and based on what you would find most helpful. Post-diagnostic support could be offered to your child and might include:

    • developing their understanding of autism and their diagnosis

    • identifying coping strategies

    • developing tools, strategies and building confidence

    Post-diagnostic support can also be helpful for parents, and might inlcude:

    • What autism means to your child, you and your family

    • Identifying your child’s strengths

    • Identifying your family’s strengths

    • Identifying your child’s difficulties

    • Coping strategies

    • Telling others

    • Where to find support

    • How autism might change across your child’s life

  • We offer individual post-diagnostic support. Post-diagnostic work can be for parents only, children only, or the family can attend together.

  • Post-diagnostic sessions are £130 per session
